Senior Specialist Tax Reporting – Funds

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Specialist in Tax Reporting for Funds to join the asset management division of an international bank in Zurich. The role focuses on preparing and overseeing tax reports for private‑equity funds targeting investors across German‑speaking Europe, while ensuring compliance with DACH tax regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare tax reports for private‑equity funds for investors in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
• Handle ad‑hoc projects related to investor tax reporting and support ongoing tax cases.
• Assist with tax due‑diligence, tax structuring and implementation of new tax regulations.
• Coordinate external service providers (law firms, consultants) for CRS/AEOI reporting and quality‑control their deliverables.
• Review and maintain tax compliance databases, internal controls and operational tax methodology.
• Monitor changes in DACH tax legislation and assess impact on fund operations.
• Contribute to department process improvements and participate in tax‑related projects.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Finance, Taxation or a related field; additional tax training is a plus.
• Professional experience in international tax law and German tax reporting, preferably from a bank, tax consultancy or audit firm.
• Strong understanding of typical fund structures and distribution tax implications.
• Analytical, proactive and solution‑oriented mindset with the ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication skills in German and English.
