Senior Test Hardware Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Test Hardware Engineer to join our Production Test Systems and Test Hardware Team in Thalwil. You will design and improve test hardware for GNSS module production and development, working closely with test software engineers, suppliers and contract manufacturers.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance existing module production test systems, collaborating with contract manufacturers and internal teams.
• Define test hardware based on new product requirements, delivering mechanical and electrical solutions (schematics and layouts).
• Manage prototype ordering, assembly and validation, and provide documentation and training to test software engineers.
• Focus on cost‑optimized solutions throughout the development cycle.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hardware design experience, preferably in test and RF.
• Degree (M.Sc. or B.Sc.) in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Hands‑on experience with mechanical and electrical prototype assembly, validation and characterization.
• Fluent English; additional European or APAC languages are a plus.

Required skills

• Altium or Cadence PCB design tools.
• SolidWorks or similar 3D mechanical design software.
• Programming in C, C++, LabVIEW, TestStand and Python.
• Hardware validation, bring‑up, repair and characterization.
