Senior Trade & Working Capital Sales Manager (SVP)
Citi · Zurich
Job description
About the role
Citi is looking for a senior‑level Trade & Working Capital Sales Manager to lead client development and revenue growth across Swiss‑based multinational corporations and their global subsidiaries. Based in Zurich, you will shape and execute the sales strategy for the Swiss market, driving new client acquisition and expanding existing mandates.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement tailored trade finance and working capital sales strategies for the Swiss client base, meeting revenue targets and expanding market presence.
- Originate new‑to‑bank and new‑to‑trade opportunities through proactive outreach, pipeline management and close collaboration with corporate banking and coverage teams.
- Build and maintain senior‑level relationships with decision‑makers at multinational clients, positioning Citi as a trusted partner for complex, multi‑geography mandates.
- Structure proposals across a suite of solutions—including letters of credit, guarantees, receivables finance and supply chain finance—to meet specific liquidity and working‑capital needs.
- Track portfolio revenues and pipeline performance, using wallet assessments to identify new opportunities and reduce attrition.
- Partner with Product Management, Risk, Legal and Compliance to ensure competitive positioning, seamless execution and regulatory adherence.
- Uphold rigorous risk‑assessment and governance standards in line with Citi’s Code of Conduct and regulatory requirements.
Required profile
- Proven track record in financial services sales, specifically in trade finance and/or working‑capital solutions.
- Experience managing senior client relationships and executing complex, multi‑geography transactions.
- Strong commercial and analytical capabilities, including participation in credit approval processes and risk discussions.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills, able to translate complex financial concepts into clear proposals.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
Required skills
- In‑depth knowledge of trade finance products and structures (letters of credit, guarantees, receivables finance, supply chain finance).
- Experience with credit approval processes and risk assessment.
