Senior Value Engineer (Data & AI Focus) - Celonis CoE

About the role

Celonis is looking for a Senior Value Engineer focused on data and AI within its Center of Excellence. The role designs and maintains data pipelines, models process data and integrates information from core business systems into the Celonis platform, and helps industrialize AI-driven process intelligence so that predictive insights, automation and decision support can be used across supply chain management and other domains.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain ETL pipelines that extract, transform and load data from ERP, CRM and other enterprise systems into Celonis.
• Develop optimized data models that reflect end-to-end business processes, supporting process mining, root-cause analysis and AI-driven insights.
• Prepare high-quality datasets, features and data structures for AI/ML use cases such as prediction, anomaly detection and root cause analysis.
• Integrate data from SAP, Oracle, databases, APIs and external sources, and support AI-powered capabilities such as EMS, action flows, predictive analytics and AI copilots.
• Improve performance of Celonis data models and pipelines, and set up data validation, enrichment and cleansing frameworks.
• Partner with Value Engineers and business teams to turn process use cases into scalable data and AI solutions, and document pipelines, transformations and model dependencies.
• Stay current with Celonis EMS, AI/ML, LLMs and data engineering, and support dashboards, action flows and automations.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, building and managing data platforms, pipelines, ETL processes and enterprise data solutions.
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Celonis.
• Experience with large-scale ERP environments such as SAP and Oracle.
• Understanding of AI/ML concepts and experience preparing data for AI use cases, including data quality, feature engineering and model integration.
• Ability to translate technical, data and AI concepts into business insights and to collaborate across IT, data science and business teams.
• Excellent English communication skills.

Required skills

• Strong SQL, relational databases, data modeling, ETL architectures and enterprise data flows.
• Python or similar scripting languages for data transformation and automation.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, orchestration frameworks and scalable data architectures.
