Short-Term Internship 2027 – Data Science, AI & Analytics

About the role

CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research, offers a short-term internship in 2027 for students in computer science, IT or a related field, focused on data science, artificial intelligence and analytics. The internship is fully onsite in Geneva, lasts between 1 and 6 months, and starts ideally around November 2027. It is open to students who are required or encouraged by their university to complete a practical training period.

Required profile

• Currently studying in computer science, IT or a related field, with a post-secondary degree (technical/administrative diploma, Bachelor's or Master's).
• Eager to develop skills through on-the-job learning and enjoys teamwork.
• Good knowledge of English or French.
• Enrolled as a full-time student during the internship.
• National of a CERN Member State or Associate Member State; Pakistani, Lithuanian, Latvian, Cypriot, Croatian and Turkish nationals are not eligible because the ceiling under the Associate Membership Agreement has been reached.

What we offer

• A monthly allowance of 1,593 Swiss Francs.
• Paid leave for contracts of 4 months or more.
• Weekly working hours of 40.
