Site AI Partner (f/m/d)

About the role

GE Vernova's Oberentfelden facility is a global centre of excellence for High-Voltage Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS), covering 72.5kV to 175kV systems. As Site AI Partner (f/m/d), you act as the primary AI and machine learning partner for the site, turning operational challenges into working solutions. You identify where AI creates the most value, guide teams through proof-of-concept development and help scale solutions into production.

Key responsibilities

• Work with functions, lean teams and stakeholders to identify and evaluate high-impact AI/ML opportunities at site level.
• Act as an AI partner to cross-functional project teams, translating business challenges into problem statements, measurable success criteria and value hypotheses.
• Help teams leverage AMP 2.0, coach them and guide them in developing their own use cases.
• Drive proof-of-concept development together with the Power Transmission Central AI team, running feasibility tests or adapting existing use cases.
• Partner with the Central AI team and others to scale AI POCs to production deployments and activate their business impact.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, or relevant experience.
• Hands-on experience applying AI/ML to operations, such as data analysis, time-series forecasting, anomaly detection, computer vision for quality/inspection, optimization and basic NLP/LLM use cases.
• Ability to work in diverse, cross-functional teams at site and PT level.
• Good communication skills, able to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and write clear documentation.
• Understanding of project management principles, including agile methodologies.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Python and data analysis methodologies.
• Practical experience with data collection, feature engineering, model evaluation and experimental POC design.
