Site Controller

About the role

The Site Controller is the primary financial partner to the Head of Operations for SHL Medical’s new manufacturing site in Zug, Switzerland. The role drives financial performance, cost control and strategic analysis for the site.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the Head of Operations as a trusted finance advisor, influencing decisions to optimise profitability and cost performance.
• Prepare and discuss monthly financial reporting on manufacturing performance, including COGS, operating expenses, productivity, material costs and budget variances.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning for Swiss Operations and Facility organisations.
• Monitor operational and financial KPIs, analyse variances and recommend actions to improve performance.
• Support CAPEX planning, tracking and reporting for Operations and Facility organisations.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years progressive finance experience, with at least 3 years supporting manufacturing, engineering or industrial environments.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration or related field.
• Fluency in German and English (written and spoken); Mandarin is a plus.
• Experience influencing senior stakeholders in a matrix organisation.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP S/4HANA, SAP PS, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and SAP BW.
• Strong background in cost accounting (standard cost setting, inventory valuation, work order variances, PPV, scrap, inventory reserves).
• Financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and analysis expertise.
