Social Media Internship

About the role

The International, Impartial and Independent Mechanism (IIIM) seeks a motivated Social Media Intern to support its Office of the Assistant Secretary General. This unpaid, full‑time position will help amplify the Mechanism’s work on serious crimes in Syria through strategic digital communication.

Key responsibilities

• Manage IIIM’s social media channels, including LinkedIn, X, Facebook, and WhatsApp.
• Schedule and publish content aligned with campaigns, events, and publications.
• Draft social media posts for review and final approval.
• Assist in creating multimedia assets such as graphics, short videos, and infographics.
• Monitor daily social media activity and summarise relevant trends.
• Promote events, reports, and campaigns via digital channels.
• Support measurement and evaluation of outreach activities, preparing analytics reports and dashboards.
• Perform additional digital communication tasks as assigned.

Required profile

• Enrolled in or completed a graduate programme, or in the final year of a bachelor’s degree.
• Field of study closely related to communications, media, or international affairs.
• No prior professional experience required.

Required skills

• Familiarity with social media platforms (LinkedIn, X, Facebook, WhatsApp).
• Content creation and scheduling.
• Basic graphic and short‑video production.
• Social media monitoring and analytics reporting.
