Social Media Officer

About the role

MSF’s Operational Center Geneva is seeking a Social Media Officer to shape and execute the organization’s organic social media strategy for French‑speaking audiences. The role supports MSF Switzerland’s digital engagement objectives, raising awareness, fostering advocacy and attracting supporters through compelling content and community interaction.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement an organic social media approach for French‑language audiences, setting channel priorities, editorial direction and engagement tactics aligned with MSF’s digital goals.
• Develop and continuously improve platform‑specific playbooks, editorial standards and community‑engagement practices to ensure consistency and quality across all channels.
• Lead editorial planning and content adaptation, ensuring that social media messages are relevant, accessible and aligned with MSF’s humanitarian mission.
• Monitor audience interaction, analyse performance metrics and adjust strategies to enhance awareness, advocacy and supporter acquisition.

Required profile

• Passionate about humanitarian work and motivated to contribute to MSF’s mission.
• Experience in managing organic social media campaigns, preferably for French‑speaking audiences.
• Strong editorial judgment and ability to adapt content for diverse platforms.
• Commitment to MSF’s values of inclusivity, diversity and zero tolerance for exploitation or harassment.
