Software Engineer – Embedded Software

About the role

As a Software Engineer you will design, develop and maintain control software for inspection robots and camera systems. The position is ideal for early‑career engineers who already have hands‑on experience and want to deepen their expertise in embedded and robotics software.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop control software, including UI, to meet product and project specifications.
• Test and validate new hardware platforms and support the development of new camera and robotic systems.
• Fix bugs, add features to existing control software and participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Professional experience; background in micro‑mechanics or robotics is strongly preferred.
• Fluent English; German is a plus.

Required skills

• Programming in Python, C++, C# or Java.
• Experience with Python libraries such as NumPy, SciPy and PyQt.
• Concurrent programming (threading, multiprocessing) and source control (Git).
• Knowledge of software design patterns (MVVM, MVC, pub‑sub).
