Software Engineer - Foundations

About the role

Join the Foundations team at Check Point, building the platform that powers all AI Security engineering efforts. You will combine software engineering, SRE, and infrastructure work to deliver high‑quality, low‑latency services that enable product teams to ship and scale confidently.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement the hot path components such as gateway, request scheduling, and orchestration where milliseconds matter.
• Participate in on‑call rotation, improving incident handling processes.
• Solve multi‑tenant capacity challenges on shared GPU infrastructure, including isolation and graceful degradation.
• Own and operate data systems like ClickHouse, PostgreSQL, and Kafka, managing capacity, schema evolution, and failure modes.
• Write design documents, review cross‑team architecture, and help set engineering standards.
• Scale existing software stacks and algorithms to meet demanding use‑cases.
• Maintain and enhance the DevOps stack to continuously improve development practices.

Required profile

• Experience building and running production services in Go, Python, or C++.
• Proven ability to profile, load‑test, and tune latency‑sensitive systems.
• Independent worker who writes clearly and takes ownership of ambiguous problems.
• Customer‑focused mindset and curiosity about AI security.
• Pragmatic, hands‑on approach with long‑term vision.
