Software Engineer III, Full Stack, Retail Advertiser Intelligence

About the role

Google is looking for a Software Engineer III to join the Retail Advertiser Intelligence team. You will help build and operate the reporting infrastructure that gives retailers insight into their advertising performance and Google’s competitiveness.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain core reporting components such as RVL, UDFs, reporting servers and Dynamo.
• Collaborate with product managers and UX designers to translate requirements into features.
• Participate in on‑call rotations to ensure system reliability and health.
• Design improvements to reduce latency for advertiser experiences.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience and at least 2 years of software development experience (or 1 year with an advanced degree).
• 2 years of full‑stack development experience with back‑end languages (Java, Python, Go, C++) and front‑end technologies (JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS).
• Preferred: Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms, experience with large‑scale infrastructure, data processing pipelines and reporting systems.
