Software Engineer Intern

About the role

Join KITRO’s Software Engineering team to help build technology that reduces food waste. As a Software Engineer Intern you will work on real product features, collaborating with experienced engineers to develop data‑driven applications and services.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain front‑end and back‑end components for the platform.
• Implement defined features, bug fixes, and product improvements under guidance.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and adopt engineering best practices.
• Work with APIs, databases, and data pipelines to turn device data into actionable insights.
• Collaborate closely with the engineering team, ask questions, and progressively take ownership of tasks.

Required profile

• Curious and eager to learn, with a strong problem‑solving mindset.
• Solid foundation in software development from studies, bootcamps, personal projects or early professional experience.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in an international, remote‑first environment.
• Growth mindset, ownership, and attention to code quality.
