Software Engineer

About the role

Join Destinus to develop software that directly powers autonomous flight systems for defense UAVs. You will create high‑performance, mission‑critical applications that interact with hardware, process complex data in real time, and operate where failure is not an option.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement high‑performance C++ software for real‑world, mission‑critical applications.
• Collaborate with hardware, avionics, and systems teams to ensure seamless integration.
• Build and optimise software components for real‑time, resource‑constrained environments.
• Contribute to system architecture and scalability across embedded platforms and distributed data pipelines.
• Improve performance, reliability, and maintainability of the entire software stack.
• Tackle complex engineering problems without a predefined playbook.

Required profile

• Strong expertise in C++ with proven experience delivering robust, production‑level systems.
• Solid engineering mindset with hands‑on experience solving real‑world technical challenges.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Fluent English.
• Experience in at least one of the following areas: sensor fusion, low‑level embedded software development, onboard software for missiles/satellites, or radar‑focused embedded C/C++.
