Software Engineer (Java) – Remediation Agent

About the role

Sonar is looking for a Software Engineer to join the CodeGen squad and build the backend components that power Verified Autonomous Remediation. You will help close the "Trust Gap" by turning research prototypes into reliable, production‑grade features that test and validate AI‑generated code.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement features for the Unified Remediation Engine.
• Write clean, reliable Java and Python code that routes requests between deterministic QuickFixes and LLM agents.
• Productionize research concepts into robust, enterprise‑ready software.
• Ensure high reliability and quality of remediation services within Sonar’s existing framework.
• Collaborate with a high‑performing team to deliver trustworthy AI‑assisted code fixes.

Required profile

• Proven experience building backend systems and turning prototypes into production code.
• Strong focus on code quality, reliability, and maintainability.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
