Sourcing Manager - Global Indirect Procurement

About the role

This position leads strategic sourcing initiatives for capital expenditures and energy purchases across Europe, aiming to optimise spend, mitigate risks and achieve cost savings for a global leader in precision instruments.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse spend data to identify cost‑saving and optimisation opportunities.
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies for indirect goods and services, leading regional projects, competitive tenders and RFX processes.
• Negotiate and review contracts to secure competitive commercial terms while managing legal, financial and operational risks.
• Manage key supplier relationships to drive continuous improvement and shift spend toward strategic suppliers.
• Support procurement digitalisation initiatives, including electronic bidding systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business, economics or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain or key account management within global organisations.
• Proven experience in international negotiation, contracting and stakeholder management.
• Willingness to travel internationally (approximately 5%).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and German.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with SAP.
• Familiarity with Jaggaer or similar sourcing tools.
