Sourcing Specialist (f/m/d) – Procurement

About the role

Bavarian Nordic is seeking an experienced Sourcing Specialist to lead source‑to‑contract activities across multiple categories and sites. You will work within a global procurement organisation, supporting vaccine production and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead procurement projects and RFP processes to optimise costs and secure supply.
• Negotiate commercial terms and contracts with suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, FDA, EMA and other regulatory requirements.
• Monitor key performance indicators and produce regular reports.
• Collaborate with finance, global teams and stakeholders to improve processes and ERP systems.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of operational and strategic procurement experience.
• Strong background in running RFPs, bid comparisons and supplier selection.
• Experience in contracting and negotiations.
• Exposure to indirect categories; direct procurement experience is a plus.
• Preferably experience in pharmaceutical or vaccine production.
• Degree in business administration, engineering or related field; procurement certification (CIPS, CPSM) desirable.
• Fluent English; additional European languages are a plus.
