SPX Data & AI Innovation Intern

About the role

As an SPX Data & AI Innovation Intern at Nestlé Research & Development, your mission is to support building the future SPX knowledge ecosystem through dashboards, connected data and Artificial Intelligence. You will support the Sensory & Product Experience (SPX) Digital & AI roadmap by improving data accessibility, developing innovative digital solutions, and accelerating insight generation across product innovation projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and enhance SPX dashboards to improve visibility, accessibility, and use of sensory and consumer data across teams.
• Connect and explore multiple data sources, including Methods of Preparation, Key Sensory Attributes, Sensory Profiles, Claims, Global Sensory Mapping, Consumer Research, and Market Insights.
• Create impactful data visualizations and translate complex data into meaningful business insights.
• Support the development of AI‑powered solutions and knowledge systems that improve information retrieval and insight generation.
• Collaborate with sensory scientists, consumer insight experts, and digital specialists to accelerate product renovation and innovation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s student, or recent graduate, in Data Science, Statistics, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Food Science, or a related field.
• Strong interest in data, digital technologies, consumer experience, sensory and product innovation.
• Comfortable working with data and translating complex information into meaningful insights.
• Academic or previous work experience with Power BI or similar visualization tools, and version‑control systems such as GitHub.
• Programming skills in Python or R.
• Experience with AI‑enabled tools, knowledge systems, or data exploration platforms is an advantage.
• Strong analytical thinking, curiosity, collaboration, and communication skills.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
