Store Supervisor

About the role

The Store Supervisor leads the overall operation of an AutoZone retail location, ensuring a high‑quality customer experience while maintaining efficient store processes.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily store operations across all areas, serving as a role model for the team.
• Provide direction, feedback, and coaching to staff to ensure proper execution of operational processes.
• Authorize damaged and non‑damaged returns due to defective merchandise, catalog errors, or employee mistakes, always prioritising customer satisfaction.
• Maintain accurate inventory by ensuring products are in their assigned locations and reconciling physical stock with system records.
• Oversee employee use of the electronic catalog, diagnostic tools, and other resources to deliver reliable advice to customers.
• Identify staff strengths and development needs, assign tasks accordingly, and recognize high performance.
• Enforce attendance, dress code, and professional conduct standards.
• Review P&L reports regularly to spot cost‑control opportunities and promote a culture of savings.
• Assign and monitor area‑specific tasks such as planogram setup, merchandise placement, cleaning, and cash handling procedures.
• Ensure employees wear provided safety equipment (belts, gloves, aprons, goggles) during merchandise handling and diagnostic testing.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of supervisory experience in a store, warehouse or retail environment.
• Availability to work the store’s schedule.

Required skills

• Proficiency with an electronic catalog system.
• Experience using diagnostic equipment for automotive parts.
• Cash handling and reconciliation procedures.
