Strategic Account Executive - Insurance

About the role

Databricks is looking for a Strategic Account Executive to serve the Swiss insurance sector. You will bring an informed point of view on big data, advanced analytics and AI, and work with Databricks' teams and partners to deliver exceptional value to customers. The role is based in Zürich.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop unique use cases and solutions that differentiate Databricks within the insurance segment
• Co-develop a business plan with the team and ecosystem partners that accelerates customer success, uncovers new opportunities and exceeds quarterly and annual usage and booking goals
• Motivate a team of big data and AI professionals to implement the business plan
• Lead the team, customers and partners to identify impactful use cases and prove their value on the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform
• Support customers' big data and AI transformation through strategic partnerships, professional services, training and executive engagement
• Build value across engagements to guide successful negotiations and close deals

Required profile

• Sales leadership with accountability, ownership and sales execution
• Direct sales of enterprise software platforms to large enterprises, with executive-level client relationships
• Experience with large, complex, regulated organisations and quota over-achievement
• Experience driving adoption of usage-based subscription services (SaaS) and co-selling with AWS, Azure and Google Cloud teams
• Experience building partnerships with client champions and defining a partner strategy
• Native German and fluent English

Required skills

• Knowledge of the data and AI space with technology sales experience
• Sales methodologies such as territory and account planning, MEDDPICC, Challenger Sales and Command of the Message
• Understanding of consumption-based, land-and-expand sales models
