Strategic Financial Analyst & Performance Manager

About the role

Julius Baer is looking for a highly motivated Financial Analyst, Performance- and Initiative Manager to join its private banking business in Western Markets and Switzerland. You will be part of the CFO Western Markets & Switzerland team, reporting to the Head of Performance Management, Business Partnering & Initiatives, and working alongside a team of finance experts who support regional senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Drive in-depth quantitative analyses using Management Information Systems to identify early Front Office trends and insights on P&L impact and balance sheet product use, and define measures to improve performance
• Act as a sparring partner to the Front on finance topics, with direct exposure to senior management and stakeholders such as Accounting, Treasury, Capital Management and Credit
• Support financial planning and performance management, including budgeting, forecasting and scenario analysis
• Develop tools that automate processes and make data use more flexible and timely
• Run regular business case assessments and market strategy reviews, and enhance performance management and reporting to track long-term strategy execution

Required profile

• University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a comparable field with above-average grades
• At least 4-5 years of experience in finance or a related function in banking or financial services, or in management consulting with a focus on banking
• Good knowledge of the Private Banking business and global financial markets
• Fluent English; German or another language is an advantage

• Data visualization and business intelligence tools (Tableau, Power BI) are a great advantage
• Strong communication, analytical and organizational skills, able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
