Supply Chain Manager Tech Transfers (80-100%)

About the role

Bachem is looking for a dedicated Supply Chain Manager Tech Transfers (80-100%) to lead the end-to-end supply chain workstream for product and manufacturing transfers across its internal manufacturing sites, from project initiation through commercial implementation. The role sits within the Supply Chain function and works closely with Manufacturing, Procurement, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Customer Service and Commercial.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end supply chain workstream for product and manufacturing transfers across internal manufacturing sites, from project start to commercial implementation.
• Define and execute the transfer supply strategy, integrating demand, supply, capacity, inventory and material transition planning across sending and receiving sites.
• Develop supply scenarios and transition strategies to ensure supply continuity, including inventory build-up, bridging stock and material transfer concepts.
• Own supply chain risk management and readiness, proactively identifying and mitigating supply risks and ensuring ERP, master data and planning readiness for transfer execution and go-live.
• Represent Supply Chain in cross-functional project governance, driving alignment and decisions with Manufacturing, Procurement, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Customer Service and Commercial, and reporting clearly to management and steering committees.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering or Life Sciences.
• 8+ years of relevant experience in Supply Chain, Operations, Project Management or Tech Transfers, ideally in a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Fluent English; German and French are highly advantageous.
• Significant experience in pharmaceutical, biotech or CDMO manufacturing in a GMP-regulated environment is a plus.
• Experience leading large-scale technology or product transfers across multiple manufacturing sites is a plus.

Required skills

• Strong expertise in end-to-end supply planning, capacity planning, inventory strategy, risk management and supply continuity.
• SAP ERP, SAP IBP or comparable supply-chain planning systems is a plus.
• PMP, APICS or equivalent project management or supply-chain certification is a plus.
