T24 Application Support / Operation Engineer (100%)

About the role

Julius Baer is looking for a T24 Application Support / Operation Engineer to ensure the operation of its core banking applications. The role covers second-level application support, incident handling, on-call duty and release work, and is open to candidates of all genders.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure the operation of core banking applications through second-level application management support.
• Process incident tickets generated by monitoring systems and the local service desk within SLAs.
• Coordinate and communicate between incident managers, application service owners, third-level support and other IT and business stakeholders.
• Take over periodic on-call duty (weekly 7x24).
• Administer change requests for application-related processes and take part in periodic weekend releases.
• Work on projects covering the operational aspects of existing or newly integrated applications.
• Cleanse system data routinely, optimize processes and automate repetitive tasks, handing them over to L1 (Control Center).
• Keep application operation documentation and the knowledge base up to date.

Required profile

• Completed IT education (degree in Computer Science or another IT-related field).
• At least 5 years of professional experience in T24 support.
• Proven experience in banking with strong knowledge of financial products.
• Process-oriented and analytical approach; enthusiastic team player with strong communication skills.
• Good written and spoken English; German is a plus.

Required skills

• Proven ability to manage, monitor and troubleshoot daily T24 operations, including end-of-day (COB) processing.
• Operational tools: JBoss, Oracle database, TAFJ, DSF, Octopus, Splunk and Dynatrace.
• Familiarity with the TPH module is an advantage.
• Linux knowledge (shell scripting is an advantage); knowledge of Java application servers and AWA scheduler is an advantage.
• ITIL Foundation knowledge is an advantage.
