Tax and Statutory Specialist

About the role

The Tax and Statutory Specialist supports the Tax & Statutory Manager in ensuring full compliance with local tax regulations and statutory reporting across EMEA. This hybrid position combines hands‑on tax compliance work with coordination of audits and process improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file Swiss VAT returns and support VAT compliance in foreign jurisdictions (AU, DE, FR, UK, BE, NL).
• Assist in the preparation and review of Swiss corporate income tax returns and other international tax filings.
• Support quarterly and annual tax reporting, including current and deferred tax calculations and tax provision documentation.
• Maintain transfer pricing documentation, gather data for analyses, and reconcile intercompany transactions.
• Coordinate internal and external audit requests and work closely with accounting, finance, legal, and HR teams.
• Extract data from ERP systems (e.g., Oracle) and maintain tax calendars and key deadlines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or Law; Master’s or tax specialization is a plus.
• 2‑5 years of experience in taxation, accounting, audit or finance, preferably with exposure to Swiss, DACH or UK tax matters.
• Strong understanding of corporate taxation, indirect tax (VAT), OECD principles, transfer pricing frameworks and accounting standards (US GAAP, IFRS, French GAAP, FER).
• Eligibility to work in Switzerland and full fluency in English; French or German is an asset.
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented and analytical.
