Team Lead Operations

About the role

Lonza is seeking a Team Lead Operations to act as the key interface between management and production at its Visp site. The role involves leading a shift team, ensuring GMP compliance, and driving continuous improvement across the production area.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, assess, coach and develop employees by creating and implementing training plans.
• Set priorities, allocate resources, manage shift handovers and inspections to meet deadlines.
• Identify deviations, participate in investigations and improvement projects, and ensure security and GMP compliance.
• Compare cross‑company process steps, manage documentation and maintain instruction manuals.

Required profile

• Several years of experience as a shift team leader, deputy or system specialist in organic production.
• Comprehensive knowledge of large‑scale production processes, interrelationships and detailed process steps.
• Experience installing and handling manufacturing plants and coordinating resources.
• Fluency in written and spoken English; German is an advantage.

• Good understanding of GMP requirements.

• Experience with production process optimization.
