Technical Customer Success Engineer - Network Security

About the role

Open Systems is looking for a Technical Customer Success Engineer to work with national and international organizations on globally deployed network security solutions. You will analyse customer needs and design, deploy and operate solutions from concept through production, while acting as the technical link between development and sales. The role is based in the Zurich headquarters, with the possibility of working at the Mission Control operations centre in Hawaii for a few months.

Key responsibilities

• Learn the Open Systems service portfolio and configuration management.
• Work with customers' technical staff to identify requirements and recommend best-practice approaches and designs.
• Set up and deploy Open Systems services in coordination with the customer.
• On-board new customers and provide first-class technical support.
• Act as the interface between development and sales, and engage in the Mission Control organization to keep the customer base running smoothly.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or extensive networking and cybersecurity experience.
• Experience in Technical Customer Success Engineering, professional services, solution architecture or technical consulting.
• Technical mindset combined with a customer-first consulting approach, with strong communication skills.
• Fluent English and a good working knowledge of German.

Required skills

• Unix and Linux
• Networking basics and protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, SSL, SMTP, SSH, DNS, BGP, OSPF)
• Network security concepts: firewalls, secure web gateways, CASB, VPN, IDS/IPS, email security, ZTNA, remote access
• Design of global WAN and hub topologies (SD-WAN)
