Technical Designer – Remote Game Development

About the role

Join a fully remote game development team as a Technical Designer. You will act as a bridge between creative and technical teams, building frameworks, tools, and workflows that enable innovative gameplay systems.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to define technical approaches for gameplay concepts.
• Design, implement, and maintain technical frameworks, production pipelines, and workflows.
• Provide guidance, tools, documentation, and best‑practice recommendations to development teams.
• Develop deep knowledge of the game engine and development tools to support advanced gameplay creation.
• Promote strong system architecture principles, including optimization, scalability, and content reuse.
• Advocate for technical design practices and improve communication between creative and technical departments.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Technical Designer or similar role in game development.
• Strong technical scripting abilities, including visual and text‑based scripting.
• Ability to collaborate across disciplines and give clear, constructive feedback.
• Problem‑solving mindset with capacity to analyse complex technical and creative challenges.
• Self‑managed, able to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a remote environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
