Technical Project Manager – Railway Rolling Stock

About the role
agap2 is seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead railway rolling‑stock projects from concept through delivery and validation, acting as the technical bridge between clients, suppliers and internal teams.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and oversee technical projects across the entire lifecycle.
- Coordinate cross‑functional teams including engineering, production, quality and procurement.
- Ensure compliance with rail industry standards, safety regulations and customer specifications.
- Act as the technical interface with clients, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Monitor budgets, schedules and resources to guarantee efficient execution.
- Prepare and deliver technical documentation, status reports and presentations for management and customers.
- Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or a related technical field.
- Proven track record in technical project management within the rail or transportation industry.
- Strong understanding of complex technical systems and integration processes.
- Demonstrated experience leading cross‑functional engineering teams.
- Excellent communication skills in German and English; additional languages are a plus.
- Structured, solution‑oriented, proactive working style with strong leadership qualities.
