About the role

You will join CERN’s vibrant research environment as a Technical Student, gaining hands‑on experience while supporting projects in information technology, mathematics or robotics. The position combines learning with real‑world technical work under close supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Learn from and assist experienced engineers, technicians and scientists in your field of study.
• Contribute to ongoing projects such as software development, computing infrastructure or robotics.
• Take part in day‑to‑day technical activities under close supervision.
• Collaborate and exchange ideas within an international, multidisciplinary team.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in Computer Science, Mathematics, Robotics, Engineering or a related field.
• University requires or encourages a practical training period.
• Eager to develop skills through on‑the‑job learning.
• Enjoy teamwork and learning from others in a collaborative setting.

What we offer
