Traffic Trainee - Coal Marketing

About the role

Glencore is recruiting a Traffic Trainee in its Coal Marketing department. The role lasts 12 months, with the possibility to extend or become permanent, and starts as soon as possible. The trainee supports the operations teams in a variety of tasks across the operation lifecycle, gaining exposure to internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Recently completed a graduate course
• Genuine interest in the commodity and mining business
• Open, collaborative and team-oriented, with interdisciplinary thinking and a solution-oriented approach
• Self-driven, willing to handle a diversity of tasks, and aims to improve processes and procedures
• Detail-focused, process-oriented, and able to manage time and organise work
• Able to work with people from various multicultural backgrounds
• Current Swiss B/C permit or Swiss/EU passport holder

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Solid understanding of and ability to use AI tools to boost productivity
• Effective verbal and written communication in English; knowledge of another language is an asset
