Transport Planner

About the role

We are looking for a Transport Planner to join our Balerna office. In this full‑time position you will be responsible for planning and optimizing groupage and partial load shipments between the Netherlands and Italy, ensuring smooth operations from order initiation to final delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain transportation schedules for groupage and partial loads.
• Coordinate with international clients, local distributors and internal teams to align shipment plans.
• Monitor shipment progress using our transport modelling systems and intervene when deviations occur.
• Ensure compliance with European transport regulations and company best practices.
• Support the intermodal transport network that combines rail and road solutions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in transportation planning, operations management or transportation management.
• Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field is preferred.
• Strong communication skills in English; Italian and Dutch are a significant advantage.
• Problem‑solving mindset with excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
• Familiarity with European transport regulations and standards.
