Transport Procurement Manager

About the role

The Transport Procurement Manager will lead the sourcing and optimisation of transport services within a fast‑growing digital logistics environment. Based in Switzerland and working in a remote‑first culture, you will connect carrier partners with customer needs, ensuring efficient, cost‑effective, and reliable transportation solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Gather transport requirements, clarify details, and identify suitable solutions for each request.
• Source capacity from carrier partners, request quotations, negotiate pricing, and select the best options based on vehicle type, route, lead time and service criteria.
• Calculate pricing, evaluate margins and prepare competitive offers for customers.
• Maintain accurate records of requests, prices and orders in internal systems.
• Monitor carrier performance, provide feedback and drive continuous improvement of the partner network.
• Build and sustain strong relationships with logistics providers and external partners.
• Identify recurring challenges and develop standardised processes and operational improvements.
• Support the automation of procurement workflows using digital tools and AI‑enabled solutions.

Required profile

• Experience in transport logistics, procurement, freight forwarding or related fields.
• Strong organisational abilities and commercial awareness.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple requests accurately and efficiently.
• Negotiation confidence and a solid understanding of pricing and margin calculations.
