Travel Document Client Services Internship

About the role

The Travel Document Client Services Intern will join the Travel Document and Client Services Section at the United Nations Office at Geneva. The role focuses on transforming procedural content into clear, engaging multimedia materials that help clients complete travel document applications accurately.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse existing workflows and identify common client pain points and application errors.
• Consolidate and restructure procedural information into user‑centred packages.
• Design and produce multimedia assets such as infographics, short explainer videos, interactive guides and visual workflows.
• Utilise digital and AI‑assisted tools for content generation, video editing, voice‑over and visualisation.
• Create interactive formats (clickable PDFs, web‑based guides, decision trees) to improve usability.
• Maintain and update the section’s intranet webpage, ensuring accuracy and visual consistency.
• Collaborate with team members to validate content and align messaging with operational procedures.
• Support testing, collect feedback and refine materials based on user experience.
• Provide general administrative and communication support as needed.

Required profile

• Enrolled in or having completed a graduate programme, or the final year of a bachelor’s degree.
• Strong interest in United Nations work and international travel documentation.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to simplify complex procedures.
• Good written communication skills in English.
