Turkish Speaking Underwriter L&H (Hybrid)

About the role

Swiss Re is seeking an ambitious Life & Health (L&H) underwriter who is a native Turkish speaker to join its Southern European team in Zurich. The role is hybrid and combines traditional underwriting tasks with a highly client‑facing focus, supporting clients both operationally and strategically.

Key responsibilities

• Assess medical, financial and special risks across the full range of Life and Health covers.
• Provide underwriting expertise to clients, share best practices and help develop underwriting frameworks and processes.
• Collaborate with the Southern Europe cross‑functional team on product and process innovation.
• Maintain and grow client relationships at underwriting and C‑suite levels.
• Contribute to the Swiss Re brand presence in the markets and act as a premier underwriting partner.

Required profile

• Native Turkish speaker with work experience in Turkey.
• Excellent proficiency in English; additional Southern European languages (e.g., Arabic, Italian) are a plus.
• Background in L&H underwriting or a medical profession (doctor, physiotherapist, nurse, etc.).
• Knowledge of L&H product development, project management or client‑facing roles.
• Ability to translate technical knowledge into clear commercial proposals.
• Comfort with technology and innovation, and willingness to take accountability for tasks and projects.
• Readiness to travel and support partners across Southern Europe.
