UNEP FI Risk Center Internship – Sustainability Risk Programming Support

About the role

The United Nations Environment Programme – Finance Initiative (UNEP FI) Risk Centre is seeking an intern to support its sustainability risk programming. Working with climate and nature risk specialists, you will help deliver events, publications and tools that enable financial institutions to understand and manage climate‑related risks.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in organising webinars, workshops and conferences for risk professionals.
• Support the preparation of research papers, guidance notes and other publications on climate and nature risk.
• Help gather and analyse climate and nature data for scenario analysis and risk assessments.
• Contribute to the development of tools and resources that facilitate sustainability risk integration and disclosure.
• Collaborate with partners from academia, advisory firms and regulatory bodies to advance best‑practice guidance.

Required profile

• Current university student or recent graduate in environmental science, finance, economics, or a related field.
• Strong interest in climate change, biodiversity and sustainable finance.
• Excellent research, writing and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
