UX Designer – Laboratory Instruments

About the role

Mettler Toledo is seeking a passionate UX Designer to create user‑friendly interfaces for its laboratory weighing instruments and related desktop applications. You will work within the R&D organization at the Greifensee site, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality, attractive user experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Design intuitive user interfaces for measuring instruments and desktop software.
• Collaborate with requirements engineering, product management, and development teams to capture stakeholder needs.
• Create high‑ and low‑fidelity interaction designs and validate them with users and stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain high‑fidelity design systems and product‑specific UI guidelines.
• Guide software development teams during implementation to ensure design consistency.

Required profile

• Completed degree in UX/UI Design, Interaction Design, Graphic Design, Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of professional UI design experience in a product development environment.
• Strong communication skills in English; German is a plus.
• Analytical, structured approach with meticulous attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Figma for interaction and visual design.
• Advanced skills in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.
• Experience creating and scaling design systems and UI guidelines.
• Familiarity with software UI libraries and component‑based design.
