VAT Advisor (80-100%)

About the role

Join a specialised boutique consultancy in Zurich that delivers integrated legal, tax, audit and business consulting solutions. As a VAT Advisor you will work with a diverse portfolio of clients, providing expert advice on national and international VAT matters while developing your professional expertise in a dynamic, international environment.

Key responsibilities

• Advise individuals and companies on VAT issues both domestically and abroad.
• Assess VAT obligations related to cross‑border supplies.
• Support clients throughout registration, ongoing compliance and deregistration from the Swiss VAT register.
• Provide guidance on specific legal VAT questions.
• Prepare VAT returns and reconcile output and input tax.
• Conduct VAT reviews and deliver training sessions.
• Assist with VAT audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics or Law (or equivalent).
• Several years of professional experience in VAT with deep technical knowledge.
• Willingness to pursue further VAT training (e.g., MAS VAT).
• Full business fluency in English and German, written and spoken.
• Experience in a fiduciary or consultancy setting is a strong advantage.
• Background in international and entrepreneurial environments.
• Familiarity with client advisory work and cross‑functional teams.
