Veterinary Cardiologist (Dipl. ACVIM/ECVIM-CA – Cardiology)

About the role

We are seeking a board‑certified Veterinary Cardiologist to lead and expand our cardiology service at AniCura Veterinary Clinic Thun. The role involves diagnosing and treating cardiac cases for both in‑patients and out‑patients in a modern, well‑equipped referral clinic located in the Swiss Alps.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat cardiologic cases, including inpatient and outpatient care.
• Perform advanced diagnostics such as echocardiography, ECG, and other imaging modalities.
• Communicate with clients, manage cases, and provide advice to owners and referring veterinarians.
• Collaborate with internal medicine, surgery, emergency, and other specialty departments.
• Mentor interns and junior veterinarians and contribute to training programs.

Required profile

• Completed veterinary medicine studies and Diplomate of ACVIM (Cardiology) or ECVIM‑CA (Cardiology), or board‑eligible.
• Passion for veterinary medicine, empathy with patients and owners, and strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Fluent in English or German (willingness to learn German is a plus).
