Web Assistant

About the role

The Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) is seeking a Web Assistant to support the Communications and Public Mobilization Section. Based in Geneva, you will be the primary point of contact for the OHCHR.org website, ensuring content quality, accessibility, and timely updates.

Key responsibilities

• Provide web help‑desk services and respond to content requests via the Info Design system.
• Create, update, and delete web pages, monitor internal and external links, and ensure compliance with UN and OHCHR web guidelines.
• Manage the Spanish version of the site and coordinate translations using AGT and MemoQ.
• Design and customize pages using Drupal CMS, HTML, and CSS; assist with User Acceptance Testing for new features.
• Document technical issues, prepare standard operating procedures, and train content contributors.

Required profile

• Proven ability to work with standards‑compliant HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Strong understanding of web accessibility, usability, and SEO best practices.
• Experience in content lifecycle management and familiarity with UN communication policies.
• Excellent research skills and ability to work with multilingual teams.
