Regulatory & Transactional Tax Specialist

About the role

Join Vontobel’s Reporting Services Team in Zurich as a Regulatory & Transactional Tax Specialist. You will work closely with IT and business partners to ensure accurate tax reporting, support internal and external stakeholders, and contribute to continuous improvement of tax processes.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, deposit and report on Swiss turnover tax, Swiss and foreign withholding taxes, and financial transaction taxes (e.g., Spain, Italy, France).
• Plan, support and coordinate annual regulatory tax reporting for AIA/CRS, ensuring timely compliance.
• Analyze and respond to Transaction Tax and CRS inquiries from bank units and external clients.
• Track regulatory updates and implement required technical and procedural changes in collaboration with IT specialists.
• Represent the department in bank‑wide projects and drive process optimisation related to regulatory reporting and transaction tax.
• Contribute to service development aimed at compliance, client satisfaction, quality and efficiency.

Required profile

• Degree in banking & finance, business administration or a related field.
• Several years of professional experience in Swiss and international transaction taxation.
• Proactive, independent work style with strong organisational abilities.
• Analytical mindset, "can‑do" attitude and ability to work autonomously.
• Effective communicator and collaborative team player.
• Fluency in German and English.
