Senior General Ledger Accountant

About the role

Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is seeking a Senior General Ledger Accountant to join its Finance Organization at the Eurocenter in Switzerland. You will play a key part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and support for audits across a global life‑sciences and diagnostics business.

Key responsibilities

• Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of financial reporting and the general ledger.
• Execute accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year‑end close, including balance‑sheet analysis and account reconciliations.
• Prepare US GAAP and statutory financial statements.
• Submit VAT filings and other statutory reports to local authorities.
• Support tax compliance activities, including direct/indirect tax filings and transfer‑pricing documentation.
• Provide required statistics to local authorities.
• Assist internal and external auditors during audit engagements.

Required profile

• 3–6 years of accounting experience in a shared service centre or multinational corporation.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP; familiarity with European GAAP, VAT or tax matters is a plus.
• Excellent written and spoken English and French; additional European languages are advantageous.
• Proven ability to work in a performance‑oriented finance environment.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of US GAAP.
• Excellent computer skills, especially Microsoft Excel.
