Senior AI & Data Consultant (AI & Insights focus)

About the role

Deloitte AI & Data is looking for a Senior Consultant to help clients turn data into strategic advantage. You will work across Basel, Zurich and Geneva, guiding organisations through AI‑driven transformations and delivering human‑centric solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement data strategies that support regulatory, cost and revenue objectives.
• Design complex data and analytics transformations, providing architectural and technical leadership.
• Drive AI and data use cases from concept through production.
• Build and maintain trusted client relationships and support business development activities.
• Mentor junior team members and share expertise across industry sectors.

Required profile

• Strong motivation for a consulting career and ability to manage multiple high‑pace activities.
• Excellent presentation skills, especially in Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Ability to translate business requirements into coherent technical designs.
• Proven experience leading nearshore/offshore implementation teams.
• Clear communication of technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.

Required skills

• Solid engineering or mathematics background.
• Proficiency in Python; experience with R is a plus.
• Hands‑on experience delivering Generative AI, Machine Learning or Analytics solutions.
• Experience with at least one cloud platform: AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs).
