Director of Rooms – Luxury 5‑Star Hotel (Lake Geneva)

About the role

Reporting to the Hotel Manager and sitting on the Executive Team, the Director of Rooms will lead the entire Rooms Division of a prestigious 5‑star lake‑front hotel. The role combines operational excellence, guest‑centric service and financial stewardship to maintain the property’s luxury standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate Front Office, Housekeeping, Reservations and Concierge teams (60+ staff).
• Ensure a highly personalised guest experience that meets international luxury expectations.
• Maintain a visible presence on the property, supporting guests and staff daily.
• Oversee operational and financial performance, managing budgets, costs, productivity and KPIs.
• Collaborate with Revenue Management, Sales & Marketing to optimise occupancy, ADR, RevPAR and overall Rooms revenue.
• Inspire, develop and coach managers and team members, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
• Monitor guest satisfaction, quality audits and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Handle complex guest situations with professionalism, discretion and efficiency.
• Contribute to the hotel’s overall strategy as an active member of the Executive Team.

Required profile

• Proven experience in Rooms Division leadership within a 5‑star luxury hotel.
• Hands‑on, visible leader comfortable interacting with both guests and staff.
• Strong operational expertise combined with solid budgeting and KPI management skills.
• Excellent command of French and English.
