Account Executive – Global Financial Services

About the role

We are seeking a senior Account Executive to manage two of the most significant global financial services institutions headquartered in Switzerland. The role focuses on protecting and growing a substantial installed base while positioning Splunk as a strategic long‑term platform partner.

Key responsibilities

• Leverage and deepen executive relationships across global banking and insurance organisations, including CISO, CTO, COO, and group procurement.
• Secure renewals and identify expansion opportunities across the security and observability portfolio.
• Navigate matrixed buying environments, coordinating extended account teams across geographies.
• Lead large‑scale contract negotiations and executive presentations with C‑level stakeholders.
• Stay ahead of industry trends, regulatory changes and incorporate them into sales strategy.

Required profile

• 10+ years of enterprise software sales experience with a proven record of multi‑million‑dollar deals in financial services.
• Established executive‑level network within Swiss‑headquartered global financial institutions.
• Deep understanding of financial‑services procurement, vendor risk management and regulatory landscape (FINMA, DORA, data‑residency).
• Demonstrated ability to orchestrate virtual account teams without direct authority.
• Fluent in German and English; willingness to travel within Switzerland and internationally.
