Account Manager / Senior Account Manager – Global Sales (Switzerland)

About the role

American Airlines is looking for an Account Manager / Senior Account Manager to lead a mixed portfolio of business and leisure travel agencies as well as local corporate customers in Switzerland. You will drive revenue growth, increase market share, and promote the AA brand across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of agency and corporate accounts, collaborating with joint‑venture partners to maximise revenue and profitability.
• Identify revenue opportunities, develop and execute account development plans, and deliver share‑growth targets.
• Lead marketing and promotional activities for trade and corporate accounts.
• Provide regular data analysis, account reviews and performance reporting.
• Represent American Airlines with local Convention & Visitor Bureaus and travel associations.
• Conduct quarterly business reviews, deliver high‑impact presentations to senior stakeholders, and participate in targeted customer events.
• Execute value‑based selling, account strategy and planning while monitoring the competitive landscape.
• Collaborate with internal AA teams and alliance partners (British Airways, Iberia, Finnair) to ensure competitive product offerings.

Required profile

• Proven experience in account management or sales within the travel or airline industry.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and identify growth opportunities.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of influencing senior decision‑makers.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple internal and external stakeholders.
