Associate Designer – Apparel (Stabio, Switzerland)

About the role

The Associate Designer will participate and assist in all design steps to create the Napapijri apparel collection across multiple categories. Reporting to the Design Director, you will propose creative ideas, conduct trend research and produce sketches. You will work closely with the design team, product development and merchandisers to ensure alignment with the brand’s seasonal direction and business needs.

Key responsibilities

• Support design in the execution of seasonal concepts and briefs.
• Research lifestyle and outdoor trends and stay up‑to‑date on contemporary styles.
• Design new, trend‑driven products and evolve successful items from previous collections.
• Partner with designers to create brand consistency and develop seasonal colour strategies.
• Sketch new seasonal designs and produce detailed technical flats (HO).
• Assist design in preparing collection overviews.

Required profile

• BA in Fashion Design.
• 1–3 years of experience as an apparel designer.
• Fluent in English.
• Strong product‑development knowledge.
• Ability to build strong relationships across departments.
• Highly organized with capacity to handle multiple tasks.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Flexible and adaptive to change.

Required skills

• CAD design.
• Adobe Illustrator.
• Adobe Photoshop.
• Adobe InDesign.
• AI‑based design tools (preferred).
