Bioprocess Engineer DSP

About the role

The DSP Bioprocess Engineer is responsible for planning, executing, monitoring and documenting commercial and clinical manufacturing campaigns in downstream processing. This fully site‑based role supports real‑time collaboration to ensure medicines are produced to the highest quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee DSP manufacturing campaigns, ensuring compliance with cGMP, regulatory requirements and proper documentation.
• Act as the functional lead for assigned products, coordinating cross‑functional teams and maintaining technical expertise.
• Drive risk management activities, including SHE, operational, cleaning and product risk assessments, and support investigations, deviations, CAPAs and change controls.
• Maintain GMP documentation such as SOPs, manufacturing instructions, risk assessments and records.
• Train and support manufacturing personnel, fostering a culture of safety, quality and continuous improvement.
• Represent manufacturing in capital projects, providing technical input for facility design, equipment selection, commissioning, qualification and technology transfers.

Required profile

• Strong expertise in biopharmaceutical manufacturing, especially downstream processing.
• Solid understanding of cGMP requirements and regulatory standards.
• Experience managing quality systems, risk assessments, deviations, CAPAs and validation activities.
• Proven problem‑solving skills with ability to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management across functions.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biotechnology, Biochemical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Life Sciences or related field.
