Business Unit Controller (Finance & Controlling)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Business Unit Controller to join our 14‑strong Finance & Controlling (FICO) team. The team handles finance and controlling for SKAN’s Swiss companies and coordinates group‑wide tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Provide FICO support for a dedicated business unit.
• Act as a sparring partner for the business unit manager.
• Prepare, analyse and interpret monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements for the assigned international business unit.
• Support the preparation of internal financial reporting (monthly, quarterly, annual).
• Process ad‑hoc analyses and reports, presenting results to stakeholders.
• Prepare target‑actual comparisons and profitability analyses.
• Collaborate in planning and implementing the budget process.
• Participate in optimisation processes across departments.
• Support specialist departments on business management issues.

Required profile

• Degree in business administration with a focus on finance and controlling.
• Several years of professional experience in controlling within a manufacturing environment (advantage).
• Business‑fluent German and English, both written and spoken.

Required skills

• SAP FICO modules (essential).
• Additional SAP modules such as PP, SD, MM (advantageous).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
