Chef de Rang

About the role

Join Mama & Zita SA as a Chef de Rang and be the face of our Mediterranean‑inspired dining experience in Geneva. You will manage a dedicated section of the restaurant, ensuring every guest receives attentive, courteous, and seamless service from arrival to departure.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and maintain your section, including table settings, menus, and service stations.
• Present menus, take orders, and communicate accurately with the kitchen.
• Serve food, beverages, and wines while adhering to proper sequencing and presentation standards.
• Handle billing, payments, and end‑of‑service reports.
• Supervise and train commis or support staff within your area.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and visual standards throughout the dining room.
• Respond promptly to guest requests, resolve issues, and ensure a memorable experience.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Chef de Rang or similar front‑of‑house role in a high‑quality restaurant.
• Strong knowledge of table service, wine and beverage service, and Mediterranean cuisine.
• Excellent communication skills in French; English is a plus.
• Professional appearance, punctuality, reliability, and a team‑oriented mindset.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Mediterranean dishes and local products.
• Ability to describe menu items and make recommendations.
• Leadership skills to guide junior staff.
