Chief Accountant

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and detail‑oriented Chief Accountant to join our international finance team. The role focuses on IFRS/HKFRS reporting, statutory compliance, and overseeing financial operations for Swiss entities within a fast‑paced, global environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead monthly and statutory closing for Swiss entities, ensuring compliance.
• Prepare and review bi‑annual statutory financial statements and update the ICS matrix.
• Oversee Finance Shared Service Center activities (AP, AR, Treasury, GL, Expenses, VAT, etc.) for Swiss entities.
• Manage transfer pricing application, documentation, and filing.
• Ensure tax compliance (income tax, deferred tax, VAT) and meet all deadlines.
• Review reconciliations across balance sheet, payroll, DT, VAT, IFRS‑Stat, and SL‑GL.
• Participate in projects such as mergers, acquisitions, asset purchases, loan arrangements, and legal matters.
• Coordinate with external and internal auditors.
• Drive continuous improvement of accounting processes and controls.
• Support budget forecasting, variance analysis, and allocation key definition.
• Collaborate with international stakeholders and cross‑functional teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in an industrial, international environment.
• Proficiency in English; French or German a plus.
• Strong multitasking, analytical mindset and ability to work under pressure.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of IFRS and HKFRS reporting standards.
• Experience with Oracle ERP system (preferred).
• Transfer pricing application and documentation.
• Tax compliance (income tax, deferred tax, VAT).
• Statutory financial statement preparation.
